Auxiliary Police
The Pioneer Police Department's Auxiliary Unit is continually seeking volunteers. The unit consists of unpaid volunteers who are trained to perform a variety of operational support and administrative assignments within the Pioneer Police Department.
Some of the duties performed by the Pioneer Police Auxiliary Officers are: Prisoner Transportation, Routine Patrol, Bike Patrol, Foot patrol, Working Festivals or special events, Traffic Details, School Assemblies/events, and many more tasks as assigned.
The Auxiliary Police Force is overseen by the Director of Auxiliary Operations Officer Joe Greer. They conduct monthly meetings and all Auxiliary Officers are required to volunteer a minimum of 12 hours per month.
